Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. You may only create one account per individual and per household IP address. We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate accounts at our discretion.

2. Account Registration and Security

To access the Service, you must register an account with accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses due to unauthorized use.

3. Free Trial

We may offer a one-time free trial limited to 100MB of data usage per IP address, enforced through CAPTCHA and signup attempt logging to prevent abuse. Trials are subject to these Terms and may be terminated at any time without notice. Upon exhaustion of data or detection of misuse, the trial account will be disabled.

4. Paid Services and Billing

Paid plans include data allowances of 1GB, 5GB, 10GB, or 50GB. Usage is monitored and enforced based on your plan. Payments are processed securely via Stripe (credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay) or Coinbase Commerce (cryptocurrency). All cryptocurrency payments are final and non-refundable.

Refunds for Stripe payments may be requested within 7 days if usage has not exceeded trial limits, subject to our review. We may adjust pricing or plans with notice. You authorize recurring billing if applicable.

5. Description of Service

ProxyPi provides access to premium residential SOCKS5 and HTTP proxies running on Raspberry Pi devices in UK homes. These proxies offer unique, non-recycled IP addresses for secure, ethical internet routing. Service availability is not guaranteed, and we may modify or discontinue features at any time.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for lawful, ethical purposes in compliance with UK laws, including the Online Safety Act 2023, and international regulations. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

• Fraud, harassment, phishing, spamming, or unsolicited communications.
• DDoS attacks, port scanning, network interference, or malware distribution.
• Intellectual property infringement, illegal content distribution, or bypassing geo-restrictions in violation of third-party terms.
• Any activity that could harm our network, users, or reputation.

We monitor for abuse and cooperate with law enforcement as required. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.

7. Privacy and Data

We adhere to a strict No-Logs Policy and collect only minimal data necessary for service operation, such as aggregate bandwidth usage for billing. We do not log browsing activity, IPs visited, or content. For details, see our No Logs Policy. Data is handled in compliance with UK GDPR.

8. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Downtime may occur due to maintenance, technical issues, or external factors. We may update the Service at any time without liability.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, non-payment, abuse, or legal requirements. Upon termination, access ends immediately, and no refunds are issued for unused data.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProxyPi, its affiliates, and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the Service, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold ProxyPi harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use constitutes acceptance. For Operator Programme participants, material changes to compensation or operational requirements will be communicated with reasonable notice before taking effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.

15. Proxy Node Operator Programme

This section applies if you apply to host, or host, a Raspberry Pi proxy node on the ProxyPi network (“Operator,” “you”). It supplements the general Terms above and forms a separate agreement between you and ProxyPi for participation in the Operator Programme.

15.1 Eligibility and Application

To participate, you must be at least 18 years old, resident in the United Kingdom, and authorised to use the household broadband connection (as account holder or with explicit permission from the bill payer). You must provide accurate information in your application via our Join Network page. We may approve or reject applications at our sole discretion.

15.2 Operator Obligations

As an Operator, you agree to:

• Maintain your node online and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except for brief maintenance we approve in advance.
• Run only ProxyPi-managed proxy software on the device; you must not expose proxy access through any other means.
• Keep the connection a genuine UK residential household service under your authority—not datacentre, mobile hotspot, or shared commercial lines unless we expressly approve.
• Permit IP quality screening via third-party services (including Scamalytics, IP8, and BrowserLeaks) and cooperate with remediation if standards are not met.
• Not interfere with, reverse-engineer, or circumvent ProxyPi configuration, authentication, or monitoring systems.

15.3 IP Quality and Suspension

We require clean, reputable residential IPs. If your connection fails quality checks, shows abuse indicators, or is associated with fraud or blacklist listings, we may suspend or remove your node immediately without compensation. Repeated failures may result in permanent exclusion from the programme.

15.4 Compensation

Eligible Operators may receive compensation based on bandwidth routed through their node, as described on the Join Network page at the time of onboarding. Rates are not guaranteed, may vary by node performance and network demand, and are subject to change with notice before taking effect. Payments are processed via Stripe (or another provider we designate). You are responsible for any tax obligations arising from compensation. We may withhold or claw back payments where fraud, downtime, or policy violations are detected.

15.5 Acceptable Use (Operators)

Operators must not use their node or household connection for unlawful activity, nor permit traffic that violates Section 6 (Acceptable Use Policy). You acknowledge that end-user proxy traffic is routed through your connection and agree to indemnify ProxyPi against claims arising from your breach of these obligations or misrepresentation during onboarding.

15.6 Termination

Either party may end participation at any time. We may terminate immediately for downtime, failed IP checks, software tampering, or breach of these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease operating the node as a ProxyPi endpoint and remove our software if requested. Outstanding compensation earned before termination may be paid subject to our review.

15.7 Relationship to Privacy

Operator data handling is described in our No Logs Policy, including the Operator Programme Data section. By submitting an application and checking the consent box on the Join Network form, you confirm acceptance of this Section 15 and the statements in that application.
