Join the ProxyPi operator programme: deploy a managed Raspberry Pi on our private ZeroTier network, provide ethically sourced household egress, and maintain production-grade 24/7 availability for verified residential traffic.
Programme overview
ProxyPi operates a distributed network of UK household proxy nodes. Operators run standardised software on Raspberry Pi hardware; ProxyPi handles customer access, authentication, billing, and ongoing IP reputation monitoring. Only nodes that meet technical and ethical standards are admitted to the live pool.
Technical requirements
- UK residential broadband — fixed-line household connection; datacentre, VPS, CGNAT-only mobile, or VPN egress is not accepted.
- Raspberry Pi 3, 4, or 5 (or approved equivalent) with Raspberry Pi OS or Debian; wired Ethernet to the router strongly recommended.
- 24/7 proxy availability — the node must remain online continuously with stable power and network connectivity. Scheduled or frequent downtime disqualifies the host from compensation.
- Authorised operator — you must be the account holder or hold explicit permission from the household bill payer.

IP quality standards
Every candidate egress IP is evaluated before production traffic is routed. Nodes must achieve acceptable residential classification across industry reputation tools. IPs flagged as proxy, VPN, hosting, or high-risk are rejected.

Operator compensation
Structured monthly payments for qualifying nodes in good standing. Programme terms and Stripe payout onboarding are confirmed before the first transfer.

Onboarding procedure
Install node software
Execute the official installer on your Pi:
Submit registration
Record the 10-character ZeroTier node ID from the installer output and
complete the application form. Network ID:

Network approval and activation
ProxyPi authorises your device on ZeroTier, assigns dedicated SOCKS and HTTP ports, and issues a one-time activation command for your node.
Quality verification and go-live
After activation, your egress IP undergoes Scamalytics, IP8, and BrowserLeaks checks. Approved nodes enter the production proxy pool and compensation schedule.
Frequently asked questions
Who can apply?
UK residents with a fixed residential broadband connection, compatible Raspberry Pi hardware, and the ability to maintain 24/7 node availability.
What traffic passes through my connection?
Only authenticated proxy traffic via ProxyPi-managed software (SOCKS5 and HTTP). Operators do not configure customer access directly.
What happens if my IP fails verification?
The node is withheld from the live pool until the IP meets residential standards or the connection is replaced. Compensation does not apply while suspended.
Is compensation guaranteed?
Payments apply to approved, active nodes that meet uptime and quality requirements. Final terms are provided at Stripe onboarding.
